Candidates for 2024 board election

Boris Hinzer

About Me

I am Boris, and I am active in the TYPO3 community for more than 12 years now. I think the first sprint I attended was the relaunch of the old website.
Since then, I’ve been working in various teams like the Editorial Team, Marketing Team and about 9 years now in the TYPO3 Education Committee.

During the past years, I’ve been constantly working in various ways for the TYPO3 project, like:

  • Built the first iteration of TYPO3 Merchandising Shop
  • TYPO3 Agency Meetup Days
  • Author of the TCCC learning book
  • Education Committee work in general
  • CertiFUNcation organization
  • TYPO3 Association Board
  • Since 05/2023 Vice President of the TYPO3 Association
  • Since 07/2023 web-vision employed Stefan Bürk as 80% Core Developer
  • Worked on the TYPO3 Association Strategy during the last 2 years
  • Introduced the TYPO3 Association Consulting Hours with my open calendar each Friday of the year, available here:
  • Introduced the "TYPO3 Strategy Outreach Sessions" as webinars or 1:1 video calls
  • Took over responsibility for TYPO3 Association Fundraising, Stakeholder & Membership Engagement
  • Reduced the exclusion rate of overdue and not-paying members by about 60 %

My motivation

During the past two years, I have been mainly working on the TYPO3 Strategy together with the other association board members, the TYPO3 GmbH, external partners, and various TYPO3 Community members.

I would like to continue my work on the new TYPO3 Membership concept, which will contain interesting services and offers out of the five main topic categories: Sales, Networking, Knowledge, Money, and Prestige. I expect that a presentation of this new membership concept and its first benefits could happen during this year's General Assembly.
Also, I would like to activate public funding for fresh ideas for TYPO3. I have already working on this topic since the 2nd half of 2023 with Daniel Fau and Frank Nägler from the TYPO3 GmbH.

I would also like to continue my TYPO3 Association Consulting Hours, which I introduced in the 2nd half of 2023. Since then, about 30–40 people have participated in these 1-on-1 sessions on various topics around TYPO3.
