Hi, I am Boris, and I am active in the TYPO3 community for more than 20 years now. I think the first sprint I attended was the relaunch of the old typo3.org website. Since then, I’ve been working in various teams like the Editorial Team, Marketing Team and about 10+ years now in the TYPO3 Education Committee.
As the CEO of web-vision, I'm a big believer in giving back to the TYPO3 community and open-source projects in general. Here at web-vision, we're so lucky to have Stefan Bürk on our team. He's a TYPO3 Core Developer and he dedicates 80% of his working time to TYPO3, all on our behalf.
During the past years, I’ve been constantly working in various ways for the TYPO3 project, like:
* Worked on typo3.org Relaunch Sprints and later in the Editorial Team
* Built the first iteration of TYPO3 Merchandising Shop
* Started TYPO3 Agency Meetup Days
* Co-Author of the TCCC learning book
* Education Committee work in general
* CertiFUNcation organization
* TYPO3 Association Board
* Since 05/2023 Vice President of the TYPO3 Association
* Since 07/2023 web-vision employed Stefan Bürk as 80% TYPO3 Core Developer
* Worked on the TYPO3 Association Strategy
My fields of responsibility are:
* Fundrasing, Stakeholder & Membership Engagement, Trademark
Recently,
* Introduced a closer trademark usage monitoring - especially towards non-members
* Introduced the TYPO3 Association Consulting Hours with my open calendar each Friday of the year, available here: cal.web-vision.de/bhinzer/typo3-association-boris
* Started a petition to have open-source work recognised as volunteering for the common good in Germany: www.openpetition.de/opensource
During the past years, I have mainly been working on the new TYPO3 Membership concept, which includes more benefits for existing members and closer monitoring of non-members using the TYPO3 trademark in advertisements across various social media platforms and search engines.
As part of this process, I also offer TYPO3 Association Consulting Hours for non-members with the aim of showing them the advantages of becoming a member. As a result, I have seen an increase in membership sign-ups.
In addition, as part of my work on the petition to have open-source work recognized as volunteering for the common good (also known as “Ehrenamt”) in Germany, I have connected with various other open-source projects, foundations, politicians, news and media outlets, and multipliers such as university professors. Through this initiative, I have seen broad media coverage reporting on the topic—always with an eye on TYPO3 and its community.
I would also like to continue my TYPO3 Association Consulting Hours and the initiatives I have started.
