Candidates for 2026 board election

Jochen Weiland

About Me

My name is Jochen Weiland, and I am running for a position on the TYPO3 Association Board. After many years as an elected member of the Business Control Committee (BCC), I am now seeking to contribute to TYPO3’s future in a more strategic role.

I have been working with TYPO3 for 24 years and have run a TYPO3-focused digital agency for more than 23 years. I joined the TYPO3 Association when it was founded 20 years ago and helped establish the TYPO3 User Group Stuttgart, which became an important platform for community exchange in our region. Over the years, I have attended, supported, or spoken at countless TYPO3 events and have stayed in close contact with users, integrators, developers, and editors.

My motivation

My long-standing involvement in the BCC has given me a deep understanding of the Association’s governance, budgeting processes, and strategic decision-making. This experience, combined with my commitment to open source values, motivates me to help guide TYPO3 into its next phase of growth and evolution.

If elected to the Board, I want to focus on:

- Strengthening TYPO3’s position as a leading open-source enterprise CMS
- Supporting community collaboration, diversity, and contribution paths
- Advocating for transparency and sustainable governance
- Connecting business and community needs to create long-term stability

TYPO3 has shaped my professional life for more than two decades, and I am grateful for the community that has grown around it. Serving on the Board would be an opportunity to give back and to help steer the project’s future with dedication, collaboration, and strategic clarity.

Thank you for your support and trust.
