About Me
Namaste! I'm Sanjay Chauhan, and I've been a part of the TYPO3 community for over 15 years. My journey began in India, where I discovered TYPO3’s power and flexibility, and since then, I've worked to bring our community's spirit to more people around the world. NITSAN (our TYPO3 agency) is a TYPO3 Association Gold Member, a TYPO3 Award Winner, and have contributed to many parts of TYPO3—from development to community outreach.
Some of my key activities include:
- Global Spokesperson: I've spoken at many TYPO3 Conferences and Developer Days, often focusing on how to expand TYPO3’s reach outside Europe.
- Organizer & Mentor: I helped run a TYPO3 Code Sprint in India, manage TYPO3 social media groups, and have published 500+ TYPO3 blog posts to guide beginners.
- Core Contributor: I've been involved in initiatives like the TYPO3 Dashboard and have also worked on translating TYPO3 into Hindi and new AI-driven translation crowdin tools.
- Entrepreneur & Innovator: My ventures as a co-founder—NITSANTech.de (TYPO3 & AI development), T3Planet.de (the first TYPO3 shop), Accesstive.org (accessibility solutions), T3AI.de (AI integrations), T3Karma.de (A successful TYPO3 website builder) and more—focus on making TYPO3 helpful for everyone. Over 120+ TYPO3 extensions developed by my teams have been downloaded 500,000+ times, which shows the impact we're making.
- Mentor & Educator: I've trained 200+ people in TYPO3 and delivered talks in local Indian universities, always aiming to connect new talent with the TYPO3 community.
This journey has shown me the incredible power of collaboration. Being a proud member of the TYPO3 Content Team (for the "This Month in TYPO3" series) has given me an even deeper appreciation for every contributor's role.
My motivation
"TYPO3 Without Borders: Asia & Beyond."
I believe everyone, no matter where they live, should have easy access to the benefits of TYPO3. My key goal is to grow TYPO3 beyond Europe, especially in Asia. Through translations, localized events, and easier learning resources, I want to show new groups how TYPO3 can be a powerful tool for businesses, nonprofits, universities, and individual developers.
Here are the main areas I'm focused on:
- Expanding TYPO3 in Asia: By organizing more code sprints/meetups and participating in significant Asian IT events, I want to help aspiring developers in countries like India, China, and beyond learn about TYPO3. I also plan to partner with local (TYPO3) agencies & educational institutions so students discover TYPO3 early in their careers.
- Building a Global Network: I'll keep working closely with European contributors while strengthening connections with other open-source communities across Asia. Sharing success stories from each region can motivate more people to join our mission.
- Promoting Accessibility & Innovation: Initiatives like Accessibility & AI to make TYPO3 more accessible. This ensures our CMS stays relevant and welcoming for a wide range of users.
"Why I'm the Right Candidate"
- Community-Focused, Global Mindset: Growing up and working in Asia taught me how to connect people across different cultures and languages. I understand the challenges of setting up events and building a community outside the main TYPO3 regions—and I want to help others overcome those barriers.
- Track Record of Real Results: My teams and I have contributed many solutions and resources, contributed to the community, sponsored & organised community events, and introduced TYPO3 to new audiences. These proven efforts show I have the dedication and experience to keep pushing TYPO3 forward.
Thank you for considering my nomination. TYPO3 has a bright future when we make room for everyone—no matter where they live or how they code. If you support my vision, together we can bring TYPO3 to every corner of the world, inspire fresh ideas, and ensure our community remains strong, creative, and welcoming. I appreciate your vote and look forward to working with all of you to shape the future of TYPO3!
